Muthu's Curry, Dempsey Hill
With the cravings for Indian cuisine, to Muthu’s Curry we went.
It was quite a disappointment despites all the awards they have displayed on the wall at the right hand corner just before you step in to their restaurant.
With its open kitchen concept, funky ceilings and colors matching make its interior stand out from just-another-traditional Indian restaurant impression.
The papadam was served without any mint sauce soon after we had placed our orders.
The platter was a total ripped off. The samosa and spring rolls were definitely not the best that we have tried, the calamari was over-fried, and there is nothing to shout for the wedges coz it was just another frozen wedges served. *gasp*
We ordered the assorted naan platter. I am glad I own a good strong set of teeth to allow me to masticate the chewy- est naan I have ever had. It was like doing weight training when I was trying to tear the naan apart. Geez.
The unappetizing panner palak is a dish of chunks of cottage cheese in spinach gravy which was mistaken by one of my friends as Thai green curry =.=” *faint*
The savor of the night – chicken tikka masala. The only greatly appreciated dish, the chicken was realy good in its taste and tenderness *yummy*
Despite having a good dish that night, I can almost confirm that I will not go back again for only one good dish out of the many.
Alas, a chai tea to call an end for the really-not-pleased dinner. *not satisfied, obviously ;P*
