Serenity Spanish Bar and Restaurant, VivoCity

Have always been wanting to try out this Mediterranean-style ambience restaurant. Was first attracted by its catchy colour combination - blue and white (well, it is indeed catchy at least for me - nice, simple and comfy) :P

PAELLA!! I saw paella in the menu!!! Haha, I was so excited then. *grins*

The last time I had paella was in Melbourne with my cousie and brother. That was soOOoo long ago, so how could we give paella a missed? Paella takes approximately 20-30mins to serve. Hence, we decided to order some appetizers to fill up our empty stomachs. *winks*

To start with, we had my all-time-favourite Ensalada de Melon con Jamon (melon wrapped with parma ham) …

And, one of the recommendations from the waiter, Tortilla Espanola (Spanish omelet with potato and onion)...

The starters had not let us down and so was the Paella Valenciana (for two).

How can we not have a SWEET ending? Ladies are known to have another compartment for desserts even when they have had more than enough at main meals. LOLs.

We had 3 desserts in total that night!! *Gasp*

Well, we ordered only 2 desserts but we ended up having 3 cos one of them was my bday cake. Thank you once again for the surprise.

Ohh, not forget to mention that Serenity has a live band entertainment that does birthday special for you upon request. And with their singing capability you can almost guarantee that your birthday song will be one of the nicest! *winks*

First dessert served was the surprise bday cake - Pastel de chocolate (a light and moist cashew nut brownie with caramel candied orange)…

Then we had Flan de Leche (creamy custard served with vanilla ice-cream)...

And lastly the well-known Churros with hot chocolate sauce *yumm yumm*

Oops, not to forget the well-known Spanish cocktail, Sangria de Original…

Yes, we overate! BUT who cares!?! It was a special occasion! And good food gives us more joy on special occasion like this.

Thank you, C for treating me to such a wonderful birthday dinner. *hugs*
