Original Sin, Chip Bee Gardens

Chip Bee Gardens~ off I went again!

Trialed Original Sin, the sibling eatery of Michelangelo’s, which is also known to be one of the best restaurants in town that serves not only quality vegetarian but also vegan foods.

It serves mainly Mediterranean menu which is somewhat friendly for identifying the meals that cater for different needs, including octo lavo, vegetarians, vegan and gluten free consumers.

It was a pleasant experience. NO mock meat and/ or surplus of deep fried items in the menu. The primary ingredients called for were veggies, legumes and dairy products with healthier cooking methods.

We shared a Mezze Plater as our starter. It was a Middle Eastern platter with a selection of dips including hummus chick pea dip, aromatic pumpkin and carrot dip, eggplant baba ganoush, and yoghurt tzatziki, served with Falafel and loads of pita bread. We heart the hummus chick pea dip and pumpkin-carrot dip the most. The falafel was well-prepared too.

Honestly, we were so full then when we finished up the pita bread served together with our platter. We were carbohydrate overloaded. We were in a dilemma in choosing our main before we finally decided to have one of the daily specials on the board which was Filo Parcel stuffed with pumpkin, dill ricotta and feta cheese.

We were glad we didn’t go for the risotto (another good source of carbohydrate, LOL). I really like the combination of the filling and the crispiness of the filo pastry! Furthermore, it was baked not fried *guilt-free* :P

One thing I like about Original Sin is they don’t have a fix menu for certain dishes, such as savoury tart and risotto. They would have it written on a board which you can refer to. Look out for their daily special for these items - changes that one may like if they like to try out different things every time they visit but perhaps not for those who would like to get the same thing in their next /following visit.

Change is the only constant thing. And, I accept and favor changes at times, if it changes for better result. *winks*
