This dim sum place won the crown of the best yum cha place for now till I found another better ones to replace it, tsk tsk.
Revisited Taste Paradise last weekend with empty stomach and came out with super-bloated stomach. Haha.
I heart porridge. We ordered a Century Egg Porridge to try. It was heavenly good, YUUMMMMMM~ The porridge was so silky smooth and flavourful. This was the best porridge I have ever had in Singapore. *winks*
We were then served the XO Carrot Cake, almost immediately after the porridge. It was fairly good, but I think the carrot cake was too soft/ softer compared to when I first had it a couple of months ago.
This was followed by the Deep Fried Beancurd Sheet with Prawn. If you thought it was served with soya sauce, you are soOOoo WRONG! It was served with black vinegar and it was surprisingly good!
How could we give Har Gau and Siew Mai a miss at a yum cha session? That is not forgivable! :P
We had another highlight of the meal – Custard Liu Sar Pau! THE BEST IN TOWN! Similar, if not best than the ones I had in Melbourne and KL *drools, craving for more NOW!*
We had more custard in Mini Egg Tart. Not sickening sweet or oily. Nice.
We were so full that we could only share a Char Siew Bun. Despite feeling full, the Char Siew Bun didn’t fail on us! Soft and fluffy, definitely worth another thumb up!
Taste Paradise offers really pleasant dim sum experience, though you may feel kind of rush if you are seated at the main dining area. This is because while having your meals, some really effective staff may keep staring at you and wanting to clear your plates ASAP once you finished it up. LOLs.
Nonetheless, the food is definitely worth the calories and that’s one of the most important merits to revisit. At least I was contented in my last two visits, grins.
